First, if the thickness of the stretch-wound film is relatively large, it is difficult to stretch, especially for stretching the film by hand, which in turn reduces work efficiency.

Secondly, the thick film has a relatively low viscosity. The viscosity of the stretched stretch film is its own characteristic. In the production, by adding a plasticizer such as DOV, the excessively thick stretched film has different requirements in the production process, and also needs to be changed in the production formula. This will reduce the self-adhesiveness of the stretch-wound film and also reduce its overall quality. For example, the common hand-wrapped film on the market is 0.02 mm thick, and the conventional thickness of the machine-wound film is 0.025 mm. For each 0.01 mm thick increase, the mechanical properties of the wound film are correspondingly reduced by about 5%.

        Of course, by increasing the thickness, the mechanical properties of the wound film are sacrificed, but the safety factor of the initial protective layer of the wound film is enhanced, and the thick packaging is more secure for the product.

Now 0.06mm is the thickest standard for the stretch film. The wider the width of the machine, the harder it is to produce the stretch film. The stretch film is a cast film, which becomes thinner during the casting process. . Some single-winding machines are relatively easy to control in terms of thickness.

Therefore, the wound film is not as thick as possible. When purchasing, you should try to buy regular products. Unconventional products are expensive and not as stable as conventional stretch film. Of course, if there are special requirements, you can choose the packaging material of the appropriate thickness according to the actual needs. However, the unconventional products are relatively high in price and the quality is not as reliable as conventional products.
